The STM32F429BIT6 from STMicroelectronics is a high-performance 32-bit microcontroller based on the Arm® Cortex®-M4 core with a single-precision floating-point unit, DSP instructions and a memory protection unit. It operates at frequencies of up to 180MHz and delivers performance of up to 225 DMIPS, supported by ST’s ART Accelerator™ for high-speed Flash execution.
The device integrates 2MB of Flash memory and up to 256KB of SRAM, including 64KB of core-coupled memory, plus 4KB of backup SRAM. It also includes 512 bytes of OTP memory and a flexible memory controller supporting external SRAM, PSRAM, SDRAM, NOR Flash and NAND Flash devices.
For graphics-intensive embedded applications, the STM32F429 integrates an LCD-TFT controller and Chrom-ART Accelerator™ (DMA2D) for hardware-accelerated graphics operations. It also provides an 8- to 14-bit parallel camera interface, three 12-bit ADCs, two 12-bit DACs and up to 17 timers.

The STM32F429BIT6 is supplied in a 208-pin LQFP package measuring 28 × 28 × 1.4 mm. In the ST ordering code, “I” indicates 2048KB Flash, “T” indicates the LQFP package, and “6” indicates an industrial ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. ST currently lists this orderable part as NRND (Not Recommended for New Design) while continuing volume production for existing customers.
