The Texas Instruments TLC555IDR is a low-power monolithic CMOS timing circuit manufactured using TI’s LinCMOS™ process. It is designed for precision timing, oscillation, pulse generation, and delay-control applications. The device is fully compatible with CMOS, TTL, and MOS logic and operates at frequencies up to approximately 2MHz. Its high input impedance allows the use of smaller timing capacitors than conventional NE555 or LM555 devices, helping improve timing and oscillation accuracy.

The TLC555IDR is the industrial-temperature TLC555I version, with a recommended supply voltage range of 3V to 15V and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Typical supply current is approximately 250μA at VDD = 3V and 25°C, while typical power consumption is only 1mW at VDD = 5V, making it suitable for power-conscious timing and control applications.

The device supports astable operation and provides a CMOS output capable of swinging close to the supply rails. Typical output drive capability includes up to 100mA sink current and 10mA source current. The TLC555 is functionally interchangeable with the NE555 and uses the same pinout, making it convenient for low-power upgrades of traditional 555 timer circuits.
