The ROHM BD12IC0MEFJ-ME2 is an automotive-grade 1.2V fixed-output high-accuracy LDO regulator capable of delivering up to 1A output current. It operates from a 2.4V to 5.5V input supply and has a maximum withstand voltage of 7V, making it suitable for powering MCUs, sensors, communication interfaces and other low-voltage automotive electronics.
The device provides ±1.0% output accuracy at Ta = 25°C, with a typical dropout voltage of approximately 0.4V at 1A. Typical circuit current is 0.25mA, while ripple rejection is approximately 60dB. It supports a 1µF output capacitor and can be used with ceramic capacitors for compact power-supply designs.
Integrated protection and control functions include overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown, shutdown control and soft start, helping protect the regulator and connected loads during abnormal operating conditions. The device is AEC-Q100 qualified and operates over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
The BD12IC0MEFJ-ME2 is supplied in an HTSOP-J8 / HSOIC-8 surface-mount package with an exposed thermal pad. The E2 ordering suffix specifies tape-and-reel packaging, with 2,500 devices per reel. For new designs, ROHM currently recommends the electrically equivalent BD12IC0VEFJ-ME2 produced on its newer manufacturing line.
