The BR93L46F-WE2 from ROHM Semiconductor is a low-power 1Kbit serial EEPROM from the BR93L-W series. It uses a 3-wire Microwire BUS interface and features a 64 × 16-bit memory organization, providing reliable non-volatile storage for configuration data, calibration parameters, and system settings.
BR93L46F-WE2 operates from a wide 1.8V to 5.5V supply range and supports an input clock frequency of up to 2MHz. The device has a maximum operating current of 3mA, a maximum standby current of 2μA, and a maximum write cycle time of 5ms, making it suitable for low-power embedded applications.
The EEPROM supports up to 1,000,000 erase/write cycles and offers data retention of up to 40 years. Supplied in an 8-pin SOP surface-mount package, the BR93L46F-WE2 is suitable for consumer electronics, industrial control equipment, communication systems, power electronics, instrumentation, and embedded systems requiring reliable parameter storage.
ROHM currently lists the BR93L46F-WE2 as Not Recommended for New Designs, making it more suitable for existing product maintenance, replacement, and legacy design requirements.
