The Analog Devices LT3045MPDD#TRPBF is a high-performance 500mA low dropout linear regulator featuring an ultralow-noise and ultrahigh-PSRR architecture for noise-sensitive analog and RF applications. It supports a 1.8V to 20V input range and a programmable 0V to 15V output range, making it suitable for RF power supplies, precision instrumentation, high-speed data converters, and post-regulation of switching supplies.
The LT3045 delivers just 0.8µVRMS output noise from 10Hz to 100kHz, with typical spot noise of 2nV/√Hz at 10kHz. Power-supply rejection reaches 76dB at 1MHz, helping suppress high-frequency supply ripple and switching noise in precision signal-chain applications.
The regulator supplies up to 500mA with a typical dropout voltage of only 260mV. Typical operating quiescent current is 2.2mA, falling to well below 1µA in shutdown. A single resistor programs the output voltage, while programmable current limiting, power-good monitoring, precision enable/UVLO, and fast-start capability simplify power-system design.
Multiple LT3045 devices can be paralleled to reduce noise, increase output current, and distribute heat across the PCB. The device is stable with a minimum 10µF ceramic output capacitor and includes reverse-battery protection, reverse-current protection, foldback current limiting, and thermal protection with hysteresis.
The LT3045MPDD#TRPBF is supplied in a 10-lead 3mm × 3mm DFN package with exposed pad. The MP-grade version is specified for -55°C to +150°C operation and appears in ADI’s Enhanced Product portfolio. The #TRPBF suffix denotes lead-free tape-and-reel packaging.
