The dsPIC33EP512MU810-I/PT from Microchip Technology is a high-performance 16-bit dsPIC33E Digital Signal Controller (DSC) designed for real-time signal processing and embedded control applications. Operating from 3.0V to 3.6V, the industrial-temperature version supports performance of up to 70 MIPS and features DSP-enhanced instructions, two 40-bit accumulators, single-cycle multiply-accumulate operations and hardware division.
The device provides 512KB of main program Flash, with 536KB total program Flash including 24KB of auxiliary Flash, plus 52KB of RAM. It integrates a 15-channel DMA controller, up to 32 analog input channels, 10/12-bit ADC capability, 12 motor-control PWM channels, two QEI modules and extensive timer resources, making it well suited for dual-motor and high-performance control applications.
Integrated communication peripherals include USB 2.0 OTG Full-Speed, two ECAN CAN 2.0B modules, four UARTs, four SPI interfaces, two I²C interfaces, DCI/I²S and a Parallel Master Port. Peripheral Pin Select provides flexible signal routing, while 83 available I/O pins support complex embedded system designs. Typical applications include industrial automation, motor drives, robotics, digital power conversion, power management and high-performance embedded controllers.
The dsPIC33EP512MU810-I/PT is supplied in a 100-lead TQFP 12 × 12 mm package and the -I version is specified for an industrial operating temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.
