The LNK625PG from Power Integrations is a LinkSwitch-CV series energy-efficient offline AC-DC switcher IC designed for accurate constant-voltage power supplies. It integrates a 725V high-voltage power MOSFET and primary-side control circuitry, eliminating the need for an optocoupler and secondary-side CV control circuitry while reducing overall component count.
The device supports Flyback and Tapped Buck topologies and operates from a universal 85VAC to 265VAC input range. LNK625PG incorporates On/Off control, frequency jittering, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, auto-restart protection and hysteretic thermal shutdown for improved power supply reliability and simplified EMI design.
Supplied in a through-hole PDIP-8C package, the LNK625PG is suitable for compact constant-voltage AC-DC power supplies used in adapters, DVD and set-top boxes, standby and auxiliary supplies, home appliances, consumer electronics and industrial control equipment.
