The Renesas PS2701-1-F3 is a high-isolation photocoupler integrating a GaAs infrared LED and an NPN silicon phototransistor in a compact SOP surface-mount package. The package includes an ambient-light shielding structure and is designed for high-density mounting and electrical signal isolation applications.
The device provides an isolation voltage of 3750Vrms for one minute. Current transfer ratio is specified from 50% to 300%, with 100% typical, at IF = 5mA and VCE = 5V. The F3 suffix identifies the tape-and-reel version. Renesas’ current datasheet lists PS2701-1-F3-A as the formal orderable number, supplied in embossed tape with 3,500 devices per reel. The PS2701-1 family is currently classified as NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs), with PS2701A-1 identified by Renesas as a same-package alternative.
