The TNY266PN from Power Integrations is an energy-efficient TinySwitch-II low-power offline switcher IC designed for compact AC-DC power supplies. It integrates a 700V high-voltage power MOSFET and power supply controller in a single device and uses simple ON/OFF control for output regulation, helping reduce external component count and simplify power supply design.
Operating at 132kHz, TNY266PN incorporates frequency jittering to reduce EMI and minimize filtering requirements. Integrated protection and control features include auto-restart for short-circuit and open-loop faults, programmable line undervoltage detection, current limiting and over-temperature protection for improved system reliability.
Supplied in a through-hole DIP-8B package, TNY266PN is suitable for low-power flyback AC-DC designs used in mobile device chargers, digital camera supplies, portable audio/video equipment, PC and TV standby supplies, DVD players, set-top boxes and home appliances.
