The Analog Devices ADG509AKRZ-REEL7 is a high-performance dual 4-channel CMOS analog multiplexer designed for precision analog signal routing, data acquisition, instrumentation and industrial signal-switching applications.

The ADG509A switches one of four differential input pairs to a common differential output according to two binary address inputs and an enable control. This dual 4:1 configuration makes the device suitable for routing differential analog signals while minimizing external switching components.

The device supports both single- and dual-supply operation. It is specified over a wide supply range of 10.8V to 16.5V, and its analog signal range extends from VSS to VDD, providing flexibility for bipolar and unipolar analog signals.

When operated from a ±15V dual supply, the multiplexer provides a typical on-resistance of approximately 280Ω. Typical transition time is approximately 200ns under dual-supply conditions, enabling relatively fast channel selection for analog measurement and signal-routing systems.

A key feature of the ADG509A is its very low leakage current of approximately 20pA typical, making it suitable for high-impedance and precision analog circuits. Typical off isolation reaches approximately 68dB at 100kHz.

The device uses break-before-make switching, ensuring that the previously selected channel is disconnected before the next channel is connected. This helps prevent momentary shorting between input signals during channel transitions.

Digital address and enable inputs are compatible with TTL and 5V CMOS logic, allowing easy interfacing with processors, controllers and digital logic circuitry.

The ADG509AKRZ-REEL7 version is supplied in a 16-lead SOIC_N package and supports an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. REEL7 packaging is intended for automated surface-mount production.
