The Analog Devices ADV7282AWBCPZ-M-RL is a versatile single-chip, multiformat SDTV video decoder designed for automotive and embedded video applications. The ADV7282A-M integrates a single 10-bit ADC with 4× oversampling per channel and supports up to six analog video input channels. It accepts single-ended, pseudo-differential, and fully differential CVBS signals.
The device automatically detects worldwide NTSC, PAL, and SECAM video standards and supports composite video, S-Video (Y/C), and component YPrPb inputs. Analog video is converted into an 8-bit YCrCb 4:2:2 digital video stream and transmitted through a MIPI CSI-2 Tx interface. The MIPI version provides one differential data lane and one differential clock lane.
An integrated I²P deinterlacer converts interlaced video to progressive output without external memory. Additional processing functions include a 5-line adaptive 2D comb filter, automatic gain control, adaptive contrast enhancement, chroma transient improvement, fast input switching, and short-to-battery diagnostic inputs.
Configuration is performed through an I²C-compatible two-wire serial interface supporting clock rates up to 400kHz. The ADV7282A-M uses approximately 1.8V supplies for its core, analog, PLL, and MIPI circuitry, while DVDDIO operates from a nominal 3.3V supply. The device is qualified for automotive applications and is rated for -40°C to +105°C operation.
The ADV7282AWBCPZ-M-RL is supplied in a 32-lead LFCSP with exposed pad, measuring approximately 5 × 5 × 0.75mm. The -RL version is supplied on tape and reel with 5,000 devices per reel. Analog Devices currently marks this orderable model as Not Recommended for New Designs.
