The INA128U/2K5 from Texas Instruments is a precision, low-power single-channel instrumentation amplifier designed for accurate amplification of low-level differential signals. Its three-op-amp architecture and current-feedback input circuitry provide excellent DC accuracy, high common-mode rejection, low noise, and wide bandwidth for precision analog applications.

The device features a maximum input offset voltage of 50µV and maximum offset drift of 0.5µV/°C. Typical input voltage noise is only 8nV/√Hz at 1kHz, while low-frequency noise from 0.1Hz to 10Hz is approximately 0.2µVpp. A minimum CMRR of 120dB helps reject common-mode interference in demanding measurement environments.

A single external resistor allows the gain to be adjusted from 1V/V to 10,000V/V. The INA128 provides a typical bandwidth of 1.3MHz at G=1 and approximately 200kHz at G=100. Typical quiescent current is only 700µA, making it suitable for precision systems where both accuracy and low power consumption are important.

INA128U/2K5 supports a wide ±2.25V to ±18V supply range and provides input protection up to ±40V. It is supplied in an 8-pin SOIC package, with the /2K5 ordering option provided on a 2,500-piece tape-and-reel carrier for automated assembly. Typical applications include bridge sensors, strain gauges, pressure measurement, thermocouples, medical instrumentation, data acquisition, and industrial process control.
