Typical Applications
Suitable for industrial control boards, communication equipment, instrumentation, consumer electronics, power modules, and embedded systems requiring a regulated 15V positive supply. It can also power operational amplifiers, sensor interfaces, relay-control circuits, and other 15V loads.
Because this is a linear regulator, power dissipation is approximately equal to the input-to-output voltage difference multiplied by load current. At 24V input and 1A output, the regulator would dissipate approximately 9W, which generally requires substantial thermal management or a lower input voltage, reduced load current, or switching preregulator.
