The Nexperia PRTR5V0U2X is an ultra-low-capacitance double rail-to-rail ESD protection diode array designed to protect two high-speed data or high-frequency signal lines. It integrates two pairs of rail-to-rail protection diodes plus an additional ESD protection diode, allowing signal-line protection even when no supply voltage is present. Nexperia currently lists the device as Production.
The device has a 5.5V maximum reverse standoff voltage and a breakdown-voltage range of 6V to 9V. Reverse current is less than 1nA typical and 100nA maximum at 3V and 25°C.
Its key feature is very low parasitic capacitance. Typical I/O-to-ground capacitance is only 1pF, with a 1.5pF maximum at 1MHz and 0V. Typical I/O-to-I/O capacitance is approximately 0.6pF, making the device suitable for USB 2.0, DVI, HDMI, and other high-speed interfaces.
The PRTR5V0U2X is rated to ±8kV contact discharge according to IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4. Under an 8/20µs surge waveform, typical clamping voltage is approximately 17V at +2.5A and -4V at -2.2A.
The device is supplied in a 4-lead SOT143B package measuring approximately 2.9 × 1.3 × 1.0mm. Its ambient operating range is -40°C to +85°C. Nexperia’s current datasheet identifies the standard PRTR5V0U2X as a non-automotive-qualified product; the corresponding -Q version is intended for automotive qualification.
