The NXP NX48P0407HNR2 is a USB Type-C CC and SBU protection IC for USB Power Delivery 3.1 Extended Power Range (EPR) applications. USB PD3.1 EPR can raise VBUS to 48V, creating a risk that adjacent CC1/CC2 or SBU1/SBU2 contacts may short to VBUS due to connector movement, contamination, or moisture.
