The Realtek RTD2555T-CG is a highly integrated multifunction flat-panel display controller designed for LCD monitors, All-in-One PCs and embedded display applications. It combines multiple analog and digital video interfaces with scaling, image processing, OSD and panel-driving capabilities in a single IC.
The RTD2555T-CG supports input formats up to 1920 × 1080 @ 75Hz and 1920 × 1200 @ 75Hz, providing WUXGA-class display capability for desktop monitors, industrial displays and embedded display products. Its integrated scaling engine supports programmable horizontal and vertical scaling as well as image sharpness and smoothing enhancement.
For the specific RTD2555T-CG configuration, the device supports analog VGA input, one HDMI 1.4/DVI input port, and one DisplayPort 1.1 input port. HDMI supports HDCP 1.4 and an on-chip TMDS receiver up to 340MHz, while the DisplayPort interface supports four lanes with link speeds up to 2.7Gbps per lane.
On the panel side, the controller supports LVDS and eDP output. LVDS supports 8-bit output and two ports operating up to 93MHz per port, while eDP supports 8-bit/10-bit output with up to four HBR lanes and display formats up to 1920 × 1200 @ 75Hz.
The chip also incorporates a 12-bit color processing engine, programmable gamma processing, color management, dynamic contrast control, dithering and image enhancement functions. An integrated OSD engine provides flexible on-screen menus and graphical display functions.
An embedded 8051-based MCU with an external serial Flash interface provides system and display control functions. Integrated audio functions include I2S, SPDIF, an audio DAC and headphone amplifier, simplifying monitor and multimedia display designs.
The RTD2555T-CG is supplied in a 156-pin LQFP package and is designed as an integrated solution for WUXGA display-control applications.
