The Realtek RTL8211F-CG is a highly integrated 10/100/1000M Ethernet PHY transceiver designed to provide physical-layer connectivity for Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet systems.
It complies with IEEE 802.3 10Base-T, IEEE 802.3u 100Base-TX, and IEEE 802.3ab 1000Base-T standards and provides the physical-layer functions required for transmitting and receiving Ethernet data over CAT.5 or compatible twisted-pair cabling.
The RTL8211F-CG uses advanced DSP and Analog Front End (AFE) technology to provide reliable Ethernet signal transmission and reception. Integrated functions include adaptive equalization, echo cancellation, crosstalk cancellation, automatic polarity correction, and crossover detection with automatic correction.
Communication between the MAC and PHY is provided through an RGMII interface, with selectable signaling voltages including 3.3V, 2.5V, 1.8V, and 1.5V, allowing flexible integration with different processors, SoCs, FPGAs, and Ethernet controllers.
The device also supports IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet, Green Ethernet functionality, Link Down power saving, and Wake-on-LAN (WOL) to help reduce system power consumption.
The RTL8211F-CG integrates a switching regulator and LDO and is supplied in a compact 40-pin QFN Green Package, making it suitable for space-constrained networking and embedded system designs.
