The RTL8213B-CG from Realtek is a highly integrated single-channel Ethernet PHY transceiver and copper-to-fiber media converter. It supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T copper Ethernet together with 100BASE-FX and 1000BASE-X fiber interfaces, providing flexible connectivity for Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet applications.
The device uses an SGMII host interface and supports data rates of 10Mbps, 100Mbps, 1Gbps and up to 1.25Gbps on the fiber interface. Integrated features include fiber support, cable diagnostics, power-on reset, programmable LED indication and low-power operation, helping simplify network monitoring and fault diagnosis.
RTL8213B-CG is supplied in a compact QFN-40-EP 5×5mm package and operates from 3.3V and 1.1V supply rails. It is specified for a commercial operating temperature range of 0°C to +70°C and is suitable for Ethernet media converters, switches, gateways, routers, industrial networking equipment and embedded communication systems.
