The STM32L162RET6 from STMicroelectronics is an ultra-low-power 32-bit microcontroller from the STM32L1 family. It is based on an Arm Cortex-M3 core operating at up to 32MHz, delivering approximately 33.3 DMIPS maximum processing performance for low-power industrial, portable, and embedded-control applications.

The device integrates 512KB of embedded Flash, 80KB of SRAM, and 16KB of true data EEPROM. The Flash is arranged as two 256KB banks with Read-While-Write capability and ECC, while the EEPROM provides nonvolatile storage for parameters, calibration information, and system configuration.

Integrated security and system features include an AES-128 hardware encryption accelerator, CRC calculation unit, 96-bit unique device ID, and a Memory Protection Unit within the Cortex-M3 core. These resources support device identification, data integrity, and embedded security functions.

Analog peripherals include a 12-bit 1Msps ADC, two 12-bit DAC channels, two operational amplifiers, and two ultra-low-power comparators. The ADC supports up to 40 channels across the STM32L162xE device family for sensor acquisition and analog-control applications.
