TNY267PN Power Integrations TinySwitch-II 700V Offline Switcher IC DIP-8B

The TNY267PN from Power Integrations is a TinySwitch-II series energy-efficient low-power offline switcher IC designed for compact flyback AC-DC power supplies. It integrates a 700V high-voltage power MOSFET, oscillator, high-voltage switched current source, current limit and thermal shutdown circuitry in a single device. Its simple ON/OFF control scheme eliminates the need for complex loop compensation and helps reduce external component count.

Operating at 132kHz, TNY267PN helps reduce transformer size and uses frequency jittering to lower EMI by approximately 10dB. Integrated features include auto-restart protection for short-circuit and open-loop faults, programmable line undervoltage detection, current limiting and thermal protection for improved system reliability.

Supplied in a through-hole DIP-8B package, TNY267PN supports up to 19W open-frame output at 230VAC and up to 12W open-frame output over the universal 85–265VAC input range. It is suitable for low-power adapters and chargers, PC and TV standby supplies, DVD players and recorders, set-top boxes and embedded power supplies for home appliances.
